What does beta mean?
Nonanta is new and we keep improving the courses. While the beta lasts, every course is free and you need no payment details. If we revise a day you already finished, it stays finished and you see what is new.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing is lost. Days are not tied to the calendar: the next one opens when you finish the current one. There is no streak to lose. Your cards wait for you, and words left behind can be caught up at your own pace.
Can I go faster?
Yes. As soon as you finish a day, the next one is open. We recommend one day per day, because your brain consolidates what you learned while you sleep. With the cards you can learn five more words ahead at any time.
How do I learn the pronunciation?
With voices for every word, sentence and example. Early on you practise the sounds on purpose; in the drills you say it out loud first, then listen to compare. And every week you talk to a real person.
I can't read the Greek alphabet. Is that a problem?
No, that is what the first five days are for. You learn the letters in five groups and read words from the start that use only letters you already know. A transliteration is shown until day 30.
How much time do I need per day?
About 25 minutes. Every 7th day is a lighter day. The weekly conversation with a tutor or tandem partner takes an extra 30 to 60 minutes.
How do I cancel?
In your account settings, with two clicks. Cancel within the first 7 days and you pay nothing. After that you can cancel every month; you keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
Can I restart a course?
No, and that is on purpose. Each language is one 90-day run. A program you can reset whenever it gets hard is a program you never finish. You can still review all your words, lessons and your compass as long as you like.
Do I need a tutor?
The weekly missions work best with a real person: a paid online tutor or a free tandem partner. That is not included in the price. You can follow the program without, but the conversations are where speaking really happens.
Which devices does it work on?
Nonanta runs in the browser on your phone, tablet and laptop, nothing to install. Your progress syncs across all of them.
What happens after 90 days?
You graduate with your final compass and a 30-minute conversation behind you. You keep everything: your words, lessons, journal and compass. Spaced repetition keeps going as long as you want.
Can I really do it in 90 days?
The program is built for 90 days, and that is how it is meant to be done. But everyone learns at a different pace, and in the end it depends on you: how regularly you practise and how much you speak. So we cannot promise a particular level. Need longer? No problem: you only pay for the 90 days, after that the app is free.
Will I be fluent after 90 days?
Fluent is a big word, and we will not promise it. The goal is conversational: by day 89 you should be able to hold a 30-minute conversation only in your new language. With mistakes, but without switching back.
Is there a refund or right of withdrawal?
You have 7 free days to decide. As a consumer in the EU you also have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital services. Because the program starts right away, we ask for your consent to begin immediately, which can affect that right. All details are in our terms. If something goes wrong, write to us: there are humans here.
Who is Nonanta for?
Adults who want to actually speak: for travel, for a partner's family, for moving abroad, for work. If you want to collect points, there are better apps for that.
